Lynsey McCarthy-Calvert
Psychotherapist
I am a psychotherapist with over 16 years of experience counselling individuals and
families. I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Humanistic Counselling and a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Counselling (Integrative) and I am a member of the British Association of
Counselling and Psychotherapy.
My work is informed by attachment theory and a strong belief that children thrive
through safe, secure and emotionally attuned relationships. I am passionate about
supporting parents and carers to better understand their children’s emotional and
developmental needs and to strengthen connection within the family.
My professional background includes maternal mental health, early years parenting
and supporting families through the challenges of everyday life. I provide tailored
psychoeducation and therapeutic support that recognises the unique needs of each
child, parent and family system. I am also experienced working with addictions,
trauma and sexual violence.
Support is individually tailored following an initial assessment and recommendations
are made based on the needs and goals of the family.
